Amazon Delivered!
I got 3 of my books that I ordered from Amazon on Acrylic painting & abstracts & mixed media & such. Though Im on a pinup high I have been wanting to expand my trials when it comes to painting. I dont paint in oils & good thing too! The other day I was in my garage & stuck the wrong end of my paint brush in my mouth! EWWIE! Yeah Go me. So I paint in acrylic mostly b/c it dries fast & its fun to experiment with also the fact I can glob it all on. (not to mention its non toxic)
I Love Abstracts
I know many dont get or even like Abstract Painting, thinking its all a bunch of swirls & meaningless blobs. This is somewhat true when it comes to MY artI dont go in with a complex deeper thought processits actually play time! Think of it as when you were 3 & got to play with finger paints the first time. You globed it on to see what itll do, relished the excitement of mixing colors together & overall did not worry about the outcome. You just enjoyed the journey & took risks. That is what Abstract painting is for me, I enjoy the journey. I am especially fun to watch when I discover a new techniquemy voice jumps a few octaves in pitch not to mention I get louder & I practically jump up & down. In other words I AM the 3 year-old experiencing things for joy only. I do want to improve though which is why I bought the books & I have to say after reading through some pages I was SO excited to run back out into my garage & play or go to a Hobby store & pick up random things. I really want some texture mediums now!!!! YAYZ!
As for the Pinups
Oh yeah baby, they are still running a rampage in my head. Youll see more of these soon to come! If you dont like pinupsdont look in my gallery.
Enjoy some small thumbs of works I L.O.V.E.
